Globe Advisory

One morning, I was busy surfing the net when my cellphone beeped.  I received a text message from 2977 (my avid textmate).

The message was:

"From Globe: P20 for 20mins para sa mahaba-habang tawagan with Tawag236! Palitan ng 236 ang 0 sa simula ng Globe o TM number na tatawagan (ex: for 0917xxxxxxx, dial 236917xxxxxxx). Pwede gamitin sa Globe-Globe o Globe-TM calls.  Promo from Oct15-Dec31'08. Per DTI-NCR 4949s08. No FREE Info? Reply STOP"

Knowing that most of my friends/contacts are connected to Globe, I immediately forwarded the message as a group message.

I received a couple of replies:

irene:  nkarcv sad ko sa ad frend!ganahan daun kau kow!haha!:D  (I also received the ad friend, and I like it very much!haha!:D)

peter:  Tinuod to mam?  (Is it true, mam?)

kene:  aw!

But what struck me the most was this reply:

carl:  Stop

Hahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! I believe this was the best reflex to the statement "No FREE Info? Reply STOP." Hahahahaha! Laughing out loud.

I then sent a text message to Carl and told him that I was so amused of his reply.

carl:  Aw sory wla ko ngbasa i thot tx alert hehehe.  {Aw sorry.  I did'nt read (it).  I thought it was a text alert.  Hehehe}

Hahahahahaha!

It just goes to show that people are sick of all the advisories and stuff; people have won this and that, free tones, wallpapers, ringback tones, etc. etc. etc.  It just goes on and on... You can't stop them from coming even by replying, "STOP."  You'll just waste Php2.50 load.  It's business strategy.  Hahahahaha!

Thanks, Carl for making my morning hilariously funny! Hehe!

Got to try the advisory... ;)
